THIS COURSE HAS THE INFANT SECTION FROM THE PAEDS PROGRAMME, AND THE OBS SECTION FROM THE WOMEN’S HEALTH PROGRAMME, and brings them together into a unique maternal and infant oriented dynamic. It adds considerably to these online programmes, and adds zoom tutorial meetings, lots of further resources. The Bristol course has an exciting option of practical lectures and teaching clinics too.

THE CPD VERSION IS OPEN TO PHYSIOS, CHIROS, OTHER MANUAL THERAPISTS AND BODYWORKERS, and other healthcare professionals. This is a focused course based on part of the popular and detailed paediatrics and women’s health courses. This is for those who really want to fous on pregnancy, post partum and early infant care.

All the programmes focus on evidence, science and practical applications. It absolutely revolves around the concept that paediatric care should NOT focus on a particular technique and does NOT subscribe to the view that ‘paediatrics = cranial’.

The approach taken in this course is to examine non involuntary mechanism approaches to various clinical presentations and focuses on understanding function, physiology, growth, pathology, developmental issues and the somatic contribution to infant and early child health care. For the mum’s it focuses on the whole pregnancy (but not conception and fertility issues – that is in the women’s health course), peripartum, the post partum / 4th trimester phase, and recovery from a variety of birth related injuries and issues.

Detailed information about this advanced programme.

The Certificate (one year – fully online option plus zoo tutorials, or the Bristol programme which adds on practicals and teaching clinic) or the Diploma – 2 years, with a large section of distance and online learning and some practical / clinical observations required, there is no need for costly attendance every month, thereby reducing the logistics of learning and also keeping costs down. NB the Diploma is not currently available – just the one year Certificate option.

You still achieve a collegiate feel as you join your programme at the same time as your peers, and there are monthly zoom meetings and also opportunities for chats, forums and other group activities throughout.
